MOLSCRIPT

MolScript is a program for creating schematic or detailed molecular graphics images from molecular 3D coordinates, usually, but not exclusively, protein structures. Copyright © 1997 Per Kraulis

Upload a PDB file to the server :

OR enter an existing pdb file name e.g. 1hla

Use cylinder command to render helices (default is helix)

Use turn commands in the secondary structure definitions (default is coil)

Nice rendering where the schematic protein and nucleotide representations are coloured along the sequence on a residue-per-residue basis by a rainbow colour ramp.

Use thin variants where strands are rendered as flat surfaces and coils as lines

Suppress colour for schematic representations

Render ligands using :
bonds command (default)
ball-and-stick command
cpk command
none ie ligands are not rendered

Use the secondary structure based on :
hydrogen-bonding patterns (default)
PDB file
CA-CA distance paterns
